This Privacy Policy describes how Citadel FM (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Citadel FM mobile application (the “App”) for Android phones, tablets, and Android TV devices.
Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Overview
The App displays a fixed Citadel FM web page (hosted at citadel.video) that plays Citadel FM audio streams and related content for venues and listeners. The App itself does not contain any analytics or advertising software and collects almost no information. However, the web page displayed inside the App contains advertising, and the advertisements on that page may collect certain information, as described in Section 4.
2. Information the App Itself Collects
The App stores the following information locally on your device:
- Venue / dist code. If a venue code (dist code) is entered, the App stores it on your device so the correct stream and content load. This code identifies a venue, not an individual person.
The App does not require or allow you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact or personal information through the App.
The App itself contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking software (SDKs), and it does not use or access the Android Advertising ID.
3. Information Collected by the Embedded Web Page
The web page displayed in the App does not run website analytics (such as Google Analytics) on the pages the App loads. However, like most ad-supported web content, the page’s servers may automatically record standard technical information (such as IP address) in ordinary server logs used solely for security and operating the service.
4. Advertising and Data Collected by Advertising Partners
The web page displayed in the App shows advertisements served by third-party advertising partners. In the course of serving and measuring these advertisements, our advertising partners may collect:
- Device or other identifiers, such as cookies and browser or device identifiers;
- Interaction data, such as ad views and clicks; and
- Approximate location, typically inferred from your IP address, which may be used to select which advertisements are shown.
This information is collected directly by the advertising partners through the displayed page. We do not receive, store, or process this information ourselves.
5. Sharing of Information
Information collected through the advertisements on the displayed page is shared with Google Ad Manager and its advertising partners for the purposes of serving, targeting, and measuring advertisements. We do not sell information ourselves, and we do not share the venue/dist code with anyone.

6. Data Security
All communication between the App, our servers, and the displayed web page occurs over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information described in this policy.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Ad personalization. You can limit personalized advertising by adjusting your device’s privacy and ad settings, and (for Google-served ads) through Google’s ad settings at https://adssettings.google.com. Clearing your browser or WebView cookies through your device settings removes advertising cookies stored on your device.
Data deletion. The App does not create accounts and does not maintain any database of user data, so there is no in-app data to delete beyond the locally stored venue code, which you can remove by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App. Information collected by advertising partners is held by those partners, not by us; you can manage it through the choices described above and through the partners’ own privacy tools.
State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable state privacy laws, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising or to request access to or deletion of personal data. 8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information in connection with the App, contact us at privacy@citadelfm.com.
9. Diagnostics
The App does not automatically transmit diagnostic, crash, or performance data. Any diagnostic information is only ever provided manually, at a user’s or venue’s request, to help resolve a support issue.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including if the App’s features or the advertising arrangements on the displayed page change. We will post the updated policy at this address and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected in the App’s store listing where required.
